shabbos

We learned in the mishna that one may not wait for nightfall at the edge of the Shabbat boundary in order to hire workers or bring produce from outside of the boundary immediately after Shabbat. The Sages taught: There was an incident with a pious man in which a breach was made in the fence around his field, and when he saw it he decided to fence it in. And then he remembered that it was Shabbat. And that pious man refrained from fixing the fence forever because he had thought about fixing it on Shabbat. And a miracle was done for him, and a caper bush grew in the breach, thereby closing it up. And from it and its produce he then received his livelihood and the livelihood of the members of his household.

Another aspect of the phrase

ששת ימים is that once the Sabbath arrives you are to feel that the work week is over; you are not to think about work you have not been able to complete last week and have to continue next week, etc. The domain called ששת ימים and the domain called שבת are mutually exclusive. The author refers the reader to a story related in Shabbat 150 of someone who imposed a penalty on himself for having contemplated repairing a fence which had collapsed on the Sabbath. As a result of his decision not to repair the fence and thereby to expose himself to serious financial loss, a miracle happened and in the place where the break had occurred a caper bush grew which provided him and his family with an adequate income forthwith so that he did not need to restore the breach in the fence.

Unusual loshon in shabbos zimra, the ריבון כל העולמים we say Friday night

To my knowledge it is the only prayer we we thank God for something that he will do instead of something that he did. Ordinarily this would be partially dishonest. There is a special focus on precision and honesty in prayer. (See for example Mishna Berura 46:33, 197:24, 582:16, 591:12.Baer Heytev 475:9, Magen Avrohom 299:9).

Therefore, it would seem that this exception is in order to create a state of feeling as if everything was accomplished by the time Shabbos arrived in line with what the Ohr Hachaim said.  That is, if we come into Shabbos convincing ourselves that all our work is complete, we then are not saying falsehood by thanking Hashem for what he WILL do, since as far as we are concerned, all of our needs have been taken care of.
