Therapists and mental health practitioners are often asked to support and advise parents on best practices to ensure proper child development. In the current unpredictable pandemic situation, parents require assistance in adapting their practices to best support children's well being. In particular, this course will include tools and information about changing expectations during a crisis, helping parents understand developmental responses to crisis, and understanding and revising critical parenting roles - including that of providing reassurance. Clinical and educational strategies to help parents understand the need for self-care and self-management will also be provided.
