There are a lot of common factors in the way trauma and anxiety is originally installed in our brains. In this webinar The presenter will discuss the power and the impact of emotional learning. The participants will be able to understand how learning through intense emotional experiences differ from other forms of learning and how their impact expands to larger spheres in our lives becoming a strong influence in our daily functioning.  Participants will also understand the use of ego states in the management of intense emotional reactions.

Learning Objectives:

  2. differentiate  how learning through intense emotional experiences differ from other forms of learning
  3. An ego state exercise to down regulate a sympathetic reaction will be taught  for the clinicians as a tool for them to utilize with their clients. 

Agenda:
  • Triune brain 5 minutes
  • Understanding common factors in trauma and anxiety reactions 20 minutes.
  • Function of sympathetic & parasympathetic systems 15 minutes. 
  • Dorsal & ventral vagus nerve functions 10 minutes. 
  • An ego state exercise to down regulate a sympathetic reaction 10 minutes.
