Utilizing Emotional Intelligence Strategies to Treat Anger and Promote Psychological Wellness In Therapy (3 CE Credits)

The proposed training, "Utilizing Emotional Intelligence (EI) Strategies to Treat Anger and Promote Psychological Wellness in Therapy," will equip therapists with effective techniques to help clients manage anger and enhance overall well-being. Emotional Intelligence, which encompasses skills such as emotional awareness, self-regulation, and empathy, plays a crucial role in addressing anger-related issues. This training will focus on practical EI strategies, including recognizing emotional triggers, reappraising anger-inducing situations, and developing emotional regulation skills to prevent escalation. Participants will learn how to apply these strategies to help clients manage both internal and external expressions of anger, promoting healthier emotional responses.

Additionally, the training will highlight how enhancing emotional awareness and empathy can lead to improved interpersonal relationships and reduce aggression. By fostering clients’ ability to navigate their emotions more effectively, therapists can support them in creating long-term psychological wellness, not just by controlling anger but by fostering emotional balance and resilience. The session will provide both theoretical insights and practical applications, helping clinicians integrate EI techniques into their therapeutic practice.
